The Marais de Brière, a rich heritage

Until a very long time, the Briérons fed on the riches offered by the marshes by fishing and hunting. They cut the reed to cover the roof of their dwelling and heated themselves with the peat. This allowed the sustainability of the project. and the natural maintenance of the marsh until then.

The Natural Park of Brière is the refuge of many species of birds which makes it an excellent observatory for enthusiasts.

You will be able to observe remarkable landscapes with reedbeds, wet meadows, water bodies, canals and  salt marshes.
